At this year’s Gründergeist competition, an initiative of the Hamburg Junior Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Körber Foundation, Recyclabs achieved a remarkable success: We secured third place! This award is a valuable acknowledgement of our innovative process, which aims to efficiently recycle PET waste and make it usable again in both the packaging and textile industries. The jury particularly emphasized the potential of our technology to make a significant contribution to solving the global plastic waste problem. We were honored with an inspiring and entertaining laudatory speech by Dirk Ploss. In his speech, Ploss impressively described the explosive nature of the waste problem and the challenges that go hand in hand with it. The award ceremony took place in the stylish ambience of the Körber Forum and attracted around 200 guests from the start-up scene, the business world and the investor sector. Our third place was awarded prize money of 2,500 euros and eight valuable hours of consulting. This support is invaluable to us and we are happy to be rooted in the Hamburg startup ecosystem.
